Sunday social ride 8th May 9.30am

We will do the Rossendale Tri course 21km plus a few extra miles by starting at the Drop Off Café in Edenfield at 9.30am https://www.facebook.com/thedropoffcafepage/ BL0 0JN. It is just off Market Street, the main road through Edenfield at the side of the Blemish Clinic. You can park on the road or down a side road Heycroft View or you could ride there. Andy and Stuart will lead the ride.

Open Water Swimming at Elton Reservoir postponed

Due to work by the Canals and Rivers Trust on the reservoir wall swimming will not start on 17th May and at the moment we can't predict when it will be possible to start. The water level has been dropped by 5 metres and it is not possible to enter or exit the water safely. Sailing has also been suspended. Once the work is finished it will take a while for the water level to rise. We expect to be able to start swimming later in the summer and will notify all last year's members.

Amazing team effort by Bolton Tri Club volunteers

A total of 49 members or parents of members helped out at the Horwich Triathlon today which had 460 competitors. This is an amazing effort in such bad weather. All the triathletes were told in their briefing that the marshals are all volunteers from BTC so that's a boost for our reputation (plus we get a boost for club funds). Thank you all 49 . The Horwich Tri is organised by Epic Events but all the marshalling, setting up and clearing away is done by Bolton Triathlon Club.
